“POEMS4OCEANS uses creative storytelling to explore the mystery, beauty and life support of our oceans, transporting us to this magical realm, and gently reminding us how precious and threatened it is."- Simon Reeve, author, presenter, and conservationist

I emerge from underground,
to the embrace of the open air.
I trickle across stones and earth
meandering an ancient imprint I too now share.

Picking up speed,
gravity pulls me down.

Through a valley I descend, far from the hills crown.

I pass trees, I meet birds my surface they ride.
I am home, I am vehicle to every being I provide.

My path starts to widen,
an explosive taste meets my mouth.

I have reached my destination, in my journey to the south.

To the sea I am joined,
we are together as one.

Gazing out to the universe the stars, moon and sun.

We change in our nature,
brewing storms and halcyon days.

But our chorus is constant,
full of life, full of praise.
