I was commissioned to interview and write three case studies about the teaching practice's of three tutors from across UAL's colleges, which encourage practices of enquiry. Here is a sample of each case study.
Tracey Walker- Camberwell College of Arts, Assessment Practice
"...As Course Director, Waller has questioned and changed the assessment processes on the course, developing a dialogue-based assessment model. As opposed to tutors marking in isolation, Waller now asks her students to showcase their work through a presentation, and participate in an open evaluation with the tutors...".
Paul Bailey- London College of Communication, Methods of Observation
"...the Course Leader of MA Graphic Media Design at the London College of Communication, challenges his participants by taking them out of the studio and into Ridley Road Market in Dalston. The destination for Field(ing) Study, was born out of Paul Bailey’s collaboration with Dutch artist Yeb Wiersma. Having previously met in Maastricht, Bailey invited Wiersma to join him in the design of Field(ing) Study...".
Heather Barnett- Central Saint Martins, Interdisciplinary Practice

The archetypal scientist tries to be as objective as possible, so that experiments can be measurable, repeatable and their approach made explicit for others to reproduce. The archetypal artist is the opposite, cloaking their processes so that their intellectual property can not be replicated by others...".
